To me, it's more about pitch count. If you're starter is on, don't

waste him being cute. If they aren't hitting him, do what you can to keep him in the game longer. Once the bullpen is summoned, it can go all to crap.
I'm also against the automatic take on 3-0. Sit dead red, and it gets grooved, blast it.
To me, the more unconventional you are in baseball, the greater your chances of success.
