Q for the Lounge woodworkers: anyone applied a spray finish to cabinets or

furniture?

Pretty sure I'm remodeling my kitchen later this year and I'm waffling between buying the cabinets and building them myself. Not building them myself would feel a bit disingenuous since over 75% of the furniture in the house is something I built. Buying cabinets just feels like it would be lame.

One obstacle I've got is applying the finish. I think I'd like them to just be painted, but I'd like a truly smooth finish with a commercial-quality clear coat over top.

I think I've stumbled into the ideal paint for the job (Sherwin Williams Kem Aqua + primer/paint/sealer system...it's water-based and specifically formulated to be sprayed onto wood). Now I just need a paint sprayer.

Reviews on paint sprayers seem to be all over the map. Anyone got good or bad experiences with different sprayers?
