At 57, I'm not particularly interested in trying anything new. I feel like with my pension and 401K I have a pretty solid financial retirement to look forward to.

So my only question, is there any real danger if I just ignore cryptocurrency and live our the rest of my life in ignorance?

And I do not want to hear about disaster scenarios where the dollar crashes completely and we have Weimar inflation and dogs and cats are sleeping together. The sky has been falling forever and it's still blue every time I look out the window. The economy will have its ups and downs as it always have, hell maybe even another depression. But I doubt crypto will save me if that happsn. If the zombie apocalypse comes crypto will be worthless too once the internet and electric grid are destroyed. I'll just let the zombies munch on my brain and be done with it.

But realistically, is there any reason I *need* to get involved?
