Once was in a construction meeting


Where we were "discussing" change orders. The electrical engineer (not my realm) had a note on the Drawings saying "ABC cable and conduit shall be used"

The electrical contractor, with a straight face, said "I can't find any used ABC cable, so we are going to have to use new cable and it's going to cost you X more".

He didn't win, but it was an interesting meeting - and a lesson on wording.
