Who's familiar with the T6-II military trainer?

My son is a student Naval Flight Officer. After 11 hours in a Cessna 172, the Navy put him in a T-6. This plane is unreal for a little turboprop. Fast, high ceiling, 7G airframe. Sounds like a lot of fun as long as you can keep from loosing your lunch.
Probably a little pricey for the civilian market (not sure of price, but it is a least $4M per copy).
