Beamers last couple years were not his best and yes the program dipped down when Shane came back on board.
With that said FU owns the program now and lets face it he can't sell a vision he doesn't have.
To call our program a developmental program sounds good to the under recruited 2 & 3 stars but what 4 star or 5 star wants to suffer in that system?

Hopefully we land G Givens and our reputation for linemen gets back on track. The departure of the kids last year hurt our depth chart and our recruiting but GG could turn that around.
Our recruiting of QB's has been questionable at best- Jerod Evans was a hit but we couldn't keep him another year. Since then we have relied on the portal with the exception of over hyped Quincy Patterson and under developed H Hooker. Burmister needs to stay healthy for VT to have any success this year.
Beamer's years after Shane arrived started a downward trend but he had talent that FU used to get to the ACCC game. Maybe FU can coach other peoples players but his inability to coach his own recruits is 100% on him now at this stage of his tenure.
