Honestly, I don't see how our D isn't our best since 2017

We have a huge opportunity to make a statement against UNC in our first return to a full Lane in 2 years. We have a ridiculously experienced defense that has almost nothing on film because we weren't able to install our system last year due to COVID and basically played 10% of what we will this year.

Defense is where we fell short last year, so maybe the infusion of new talent (Williams, Waller, Daley, McCray, Garbutt, freshmen) will put us over the top. I would argue the D was actually really solid to end the year against Miami, Clemson, and UVA but were overshadowed by offensive ineptitude.

On offense we'll have to manufacture points, but we do have some talent capable of doing that. Herbert couldn't be stopped last year, but Hooker really held us back with his decision making + play calling errors.
