Well, if the bowls are done for, an expanded playoff is what’s left.


So, it needs to change.

Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Notre Dame and Georgia fight for 4 playoff spots. LSU might show up this year.

That’s pretty much all you need for any preseason college football mag.

That’s terrible. Imagine if the playoff field was expanded and teams like Iowa State, Cincinnati, Virginia Tech, etc could sell the playoffs to recruits. Combine that with the NIL that’s coming into play and an elite RB might rather be a star at VT than one of Saban’s 70 chess pieces.

I don’t know. It stinks the way it is. So I’m all for a change.
