You honestly believe other teams will have a more impactful offseason?

Come on, our COVID issues were widely publicized by ESPN as being above and beyond what anyone else experience. Hell, we got crucified by the media for not being able to control it for the first month and a half of the season.

Yes our depth was weak last year, then they all got a full season of PT and are returning this year after an offseason.

The other ACC teams that underwent coaching changes were bad (BC, FSU) so we know that is a major factor.

IMO, as a UNC graduate who watches all their games, that game will be a surprise for the Heels when our defense trots out there. Howell is good but his weapons were the gamebreakers. I absolutely believe VT has some serious talent on defense that only really showed up late last year. Don't underestimate what a great pass rusher combined with 2 all-conference level corners can do.
