To add to what ritch said, the NECBL has established itself as the #2

Summer college league, or at least on par with the Northwoods. It’s a major feeder to the Cape. Power 5 kids who go there and do well are almost assured a spot on the Cape the next year. Newport and Keene routinely get rising sophomores from Vandy, UVA, UCLA, Louisville, VT, and other Power 5 powers. Now that Martha’s Vineyard is in the NECBL they are also attracting major talent - what college kid wouldn’t want to spend the summer there? Plus it’s a short hop for scouts from the Cape.
