Not the biggest or fastest by any means, but when I was a kid there was a

wooden roller coaster at Lakeside in Salem, VA, I believe it was named the Wildcat. When climbing up the first hill, you could look down and see the boards bending and shaking! It was later replaced with the Shooting Star, which was much higher and faster
