I don’t think the scenario you describe is “illegal” behavior


anymore. I believe the business owner can pay the player as much as he wants as an appearance fee. Won’t have to pass anything under the table. Whatever the market will bear.

Louisville won’t have the advantage any longer in this type of situation because they are willing to cheat. They will have an advantage because their business owner supporters are more passionate and have more money. And they are in a larger market.

I could be very wrong about this but this is how I read it.
