We stayed near the airport and took the T everywhere

Maybe not super nostalgic, but it WAS super convenient. Probably saved a buck or two as well.

We did a LOT of the history stuff, very easily, following a short ride on the T. Took the T to Chestnut Hill for the game too (though I think it may have taken one transfer - but other than being game-time-crowded, the T was a much better option than anything else you could choose).

Highly recommend the Freedom Trail. Old North Church too. Paul Revere house is one we had done before, so we skipped it. Fanueil Hall was an easy historic stop we made too.

We ate in the North End (true Italian) and would highly recommend. Also don't miss the Union Oyster House. We checked out the Cheers bar too. Quincy Market is always a cool stop.

Boston is a cool city. We did a lot of it in one trip. Could probably do it again and see all new stuff (Harvard Yard, Fenway, more time in Boston Commons, etc.)
