Seriuusly, she sounds like she lives in a different world...

like something out of the twilight zone. Neither thing is incorrect, you are swimming in poop, intake vents do suck things in but seems like she just doesn't assign good risk factors to them. Of course, we don't always assign good risk factors the other way around, mud at the bottom of a pond has amoebas that can kill you, you might not correctly assess cross winds on a highway.

It does sound like she needed to get outside more as a kid.
