criteria for it to be an Olympic sport is that it had to be played competitively in multiple countries, not just a handful. Looking at the rosters of some of those teams like Mexico and Italy, most of them are Americans who got a double nationality just to compete for a different country, nothing wrong with that, but it proves the point that the sport is pretty much played only in the US and maybe Canada and Japan.

I would say the same thing if American football or sumo wrestling were included in it.
