You contradict yourself. Again, why do so few leave?
If it’s a means to end then the value is there without further compensation.
Plus college athletes get FAR more than a scholarship and opportunity at an education. They also get access to 1st rate training facilities, coaching, nutritional supervision and food, personal brand development, etc. which - depending who you are and what sport one is in - can be worth anywhere from tens of thousands of dollars to literally millions of dollars over the course of 2-4 years. And which they otherwise wouldn’t get.
The whole ‘why shouldn’t they cash in” narrative is myopic, false and tired. They are cashing in. Big time.
