I hope VT is doing what other ACC bigs are doing...

Back to planning & execution. Me thinks several smart, forward thinking ‘chess capable’ ACC schools are absolutely exploring their options of life beyond the ACC...and that includes the really astute ones doing so even PRIOR to the TX/OK rumored ‘jump’.
Those schools who are ONLY just sitting around trying to extrapolate some bizarre formula on how to make the ACC maintain continuity are less in number than what we would think (my hunch.). If VT current administration hasn’t been Given a history lesson on us being left out and behind in the past... they need one! Southern
Conf ‘jumps’ to the ACC...and many ACC years of spurning us .... BE jumps to the ACC when we dodged a bullet when VT was not in the first 3 to flip until we got ‘creative’ on multiple fronts 😂...so anyone who thinks that schools like not only Clem & FSU, but ALL or most of the remaining big ACC state schools aren’t exploring scenarios, are smoking something. More so... if we aren’t, then we’ve learned nothing from prior episodes of historical fails.
Various of The ACC schools just don’t and won’t have the cachet for a B1G &/or SEC fit...(BC, Syracuse, Wake, Duke, Miami, GT.)
That leaves the rest of us either
left out, or leading...
If & when the dominoes start to fall, those remaining who
Have something to offer, and
HAVE PLANNED...will likely execute or Minimally have their best shot of executing. The ACC ‘littles’ know the score and won’t
Have the bargaining chips that the
Bigs will have. BTW, the ‘research’ ‘angle’ supposed requirements for B1G May or may not be a mandatory reqmnt BUT regardless of that...Most will find the big state FB schools as most attractive. They won’t want the small FB stadiums that stay empty...think Duke, Wake, BC, even the fricking Canes have no stadium and it’s Embarrassing to watch them drizzle in at whatever the Dolphins stadium is named for the week 😂🤣...so here are the contenders for The musical Chair game forthcoming (and the hell with the domers plans)... FSU, Clem, UNC & State, VT & UVA, Pitt. Which of them do you trust the most & least? Which of them do you think is AND/or has been
Exploring scenarios rather than just hanging around trying to save the ACC? Are there 7 seats available between the 2 conferences to our north and south? Oh, didn’t forget Louisville... just don’t see them as our competition but if They are make it 8 seats. If SEC &
B1G could legally work together in expanding and make places for the above 7/8 schools,
That would allow for them
To possibly make
It all legit with a majority vote. The media guarantees don’t
Concern me Even as much money as they represent as they could likely be funded with the newly expanded contracts ahead. Maryland did it, so can the big ACC 7/8. And yes I know it’s
Much costlier now.
