body-surfing at the outer basks a couple of weeks ago. Anybody who body-surfs knows THAT is NOT the thnig to do. It dumped him so hard, he remembers "waking up" tumbling through the surf, but remembers nothnig after hitting the bottom (for several seconds, he thinks).

He said he was truly shook when he realized that he could VERY easily have NOT regained consciousness quickly and drowned! He looked freaked out telling me the story, and this is a dude who does NOT scare easily.

Thank God you are OK..Aside from being a hell of a lot of fun, playing in the surf (whether intentional or not) carries an element of risk. As my buddy said, "You can do something you've done your whole life, and in a flash, something can go all wrong and take you out!".
