My only tip would be to ensure your replacement will fit...

...under the kitchen cabinets. I did a thorough search for a replacement refrigerator, then decided to pull out the tape measure before hitting the "buy" button. Very thankful I did, since that one didn't fit. I hit every website, and only found one 25+ cubic foot fridge that fit under my cabinet, and that was looking at Lowes, HD, several others, then finally at Best Buy.

I would have had to cut the bottom off of the cabinet over the fridge to get the others to fit. I'm seriously considering putting down waterproof vinyl planking in the kitchen, which will require me to cut the cabinet. The remodelers cut the cabinet to just have the old fridge fit underneath. It would have been perfect if the old fridge was about an inch taller. Oh well, I probably need to cut it regardless of whether I put in vinyl plank flooring to make my next fridge search easier. It could be worse...my sister's fridge is "built into" her cabinets. They are even more limited with its eventual replacement.
