The downtown arena that hosts events almost nightly, like MCI/CapitalOne


Center, has a much better chance of paying off then the 8 or so events per year football stadium. It's more likely to actually support nearby business (300 nights of extra traffic can make a restaurant in a way 10-20 days/nights won't, even if the crowds are bigger). Then the obvious, more events more often = more, stable jobs.
