Not always a fan of Nick Saban, but I respect his focus on excellence. This week he is in the press challenging his team’s ability to sustain intensity levels during practice if they want to perform at an elite level. While he expresses disgust with apathy and bad practice habits, his public statements are clearly an attempt to keep his team focused with their next game being against a lower level opponent. I am not sure how Fu approaches the same issue, but we have a bad habit of playing soft on a lesser opponent while we would benefit from Saban’s attitude toward sustained intensity.
