WVU fan take


No gloating here, I saw an exciting game between two average football teams with both coaching staffs puking all over themselves at various points in the game.

The atmosphere was incredible, best since we hosted #2 LSU in 2011. We do not get true rivalry games in the Big XII that can salvage what is sure to be a pretty average season for us. I expect nothing less than a top notch college football atmosphere for this game in Blacksburg next year. VT vs WVU is the most underrated rivalry in college football nationally.

Sounds like your fans had a much better experience this time around which is how it should be. I have made 3 trips to Blacksburg and it was not the most hospitable road venue in 2004 to put it mildly, so maybe this thing did need to cool down a little. Everyone knows the 2003 game was out of control and there have been some serious changes made since then.

Time heals all wounds and I think the vast majority of Mountaineer fans were really pleased to see orange and maroon on the field
