Rarely would you want the other team “see” what you have, even if just fall ball. Obviously VT is visiting UT in the regular season, but we might not even get Keely vs Ashley Rogers in that game. Both coaches might pitch #2’s so the opponent can’t see their ace because of the potential regionals matchup.

Or they are playing this game a) as an RPI game and b) so the NCAA won’t send them to the same regional as a rematch, lol.

If you know you won’t see them in the regular season or postseason, then sure, but all those schools are at the level, no one wants to give up secrets.
