Based on how the defense improved towards the end of last year and how efficient the offense was running.

In no world did I anticipate a regression to a bottom of the power 5 level offense. I like the defensive staff a lot but if we continue this YoY regression on offense that was only paused by Herbert then we have to make a change.

The perennial hot seat isn’t going to help, this is year 6 and the level of depth is about to fall off a cliff. Most of the guys on the team have been starting for 3+ years and we still don’t look like we have a clue on offense.

The consistent regression of QBs Who gain experience is a bad look for a QB coach/OC who is the same person. We hired this staff *specifically* for their offensive expertise and have watched other elements of the program suffer (recruiting, fan engagement, winning, transfers, bad press, etc) without any ROI.
