Had a 4 trunk, 50 foot, river birch taken down that was way too close to the house.
Tree company chipped up the branches for some excellent mulch. Same with the ginormous stump.
I had them cut the trunks into firewood length sections.
I have a splitter and can make quick work of the pieces. Looks like a couple of cords.
Seeing mixed reviews of river birch as firewood on the interwebs.
Thoughts?
If no good I can roll them down the hill in the woods towards the creek or towards the neighbors.
