Me and a couple friends went up to Philly to watch a game. Something I've done maybe 4 or 5 times over my lifetime, it's about 100 miles.

It was a sellout, big crowd at Veterans Stadium. Had to park down in (FDR Park?) across Broad Street from the stadium. Pulled into a parking spot, and two spots away, pulling into a spot was a friend from Tech who lives in North Jersey and is a Phillies fan. Consider that with the crowd that big we could have both been at the same game, which is a coincidence, but it's still unlikely we ever would have seen each other. Even if we had parked near each other, if one of us had arrived 10 minutes earlier or later we never would have seen each other.

Also ran into a friend in Vegas once.

And in 2012 I was going to be out of town visiting my mother on the day of the Presidential election, so I did early voting on a Saturday afternoon about two weeks before the election. Was in line behind someone I knew in high school that I hadn't seen in 30 years since we graduated. That's not that big a deal but the real coincidence was that that evening was our 30th HS Reunion, which we were both going to attend. So if I hadn't bumped into her in the election line I would have seen her for the first time in 30 years a few hours later anyway.
