the rise in the college football world. when frank was at the top of his game. used to go to the monday night radio show at the old gobblertown tavern in christiansburg. the old big east days, lots of night games, michael vick, crazy good defenses (still have my "you can run your mouth, but can you run the ball?" tee shirt)all the great players that helped build the programcollege gameday sets on the mall, corso, herbie..then gamedays on the practice field turf. i was at that first gameday inside lane.the lightning storm bca game vs. gt that never happened (took 3 hours to get back to hethwood after being stuck in the mud in the chicken hill lot until getting help from strangers).bowl games were a blast. when enter sandman seemed even more deafening than it does nowhokie central,com, beamerball.com, lots of stuff to think back on. i feel for the younger fans who only know vt football being stuck in the mud. i do get nostalgic when i think back on everything the program went through when it was all seemingly shiny and new. i know you can't live in the past, but i'm thankful i got to live through all of that. been thinking back lately to how it all used to be with vt football
