I have no solution, but the bottom line is the overwhelming majority of


the economy is operated by fairly low-wage employees. Covid kinda made a lot of them realize that no, they in fact are not paid enough to put up with this stuff.

Sure, you can keep your restaurant running if you pay your servers $20/hour. But those costs will show up in your prices eventually. Same thing with gas stations, fast food, waste disposal, housekeeping, delivery, retail...you name it. Fine, let's pay them all $15-20/hour and get back to normal. But those costs gotta go somewhere, we're already seeing more inflation than we've seen since the 70's, and it ain't like anyone who is already making more is getting a raise just because the cost of operating a Burger King has gone up.
