Maybe I'm on the Conference Realignment board too much, (re: Clawson)


But I think you are right. Certainly VT is a better job than WF. But is it that much of a step up to justify a move? The bigger question might have to do with the conference. The conference is in bad shape. I'd imagine that HCs already in the ACC would be looking to go to the B1G or SEC, which are the two conferences that will control the future of big time college football. They can also afford to pay more. Also, Clawson's star is on the rise. Why go to VT for a rebuild that will take time when he can probably do better by staying where he's already built something and wait for a better job if he even wants one.

But if he's available. He is on my shortlist for sure.
