Leading up to the game against Oregon, he made a comment that they don't usually recruit against UO, despite that being obviously false with plenty of proof, and that they recruit against more "academically prowessed" (bad time to use bad grammar) schools like USC, Stanford, and Notre Dame. The UO president even weighed in with a smart comment in response to that one. Oregon beat them and he made some in game decisions that brought his own "academic prowess" into question.

I didn't know who this guy was a month ago, and went to wanting to see him get his ass kicked in record time. In reading some of the post firing articles, it sounds like blowing smoke and underdelivering was his MO.
