He already has a Cornell degree. Grad students are not allowed to play for


Ivy league programs, hence the transfer to a non-Ivy league school. An easy call given the family connection, of course, not to mention Syracuse's front court losses after last season.

Jimmy Boeheim graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of science degree from Cornell's SC Johnson College of Business in May 2021, but did not play last season when all of the Ivy league schools canceled their basketball season due to Covid.

When you see Paul Atkinson Jr. light it up for ND this year in their frontcourt and wonder how he got there after being co-Ivy league player of the year in 2019-20, now everyone will know that one too.
