Whit is under pressure to “get this right” after his screw up with Tuberville at Cincinnati and now FU.

So this pick may either be a career ending or career enhancing choice.

So in his mind, he may well have become more risk adverse and take a “safe” choice rather than a more risky and, perhaps, the “right” choice.

He has got to make a really big decision under a lot of pressure … not an good place to be, IMHO.

It’s analogous to someone trading a small stock trading account.

They have lost most of their equity on 2 bad trades and they better pick a winner or they are out of the game.

My experience is that such a person in that position is going to go with a “safe” pick as defined, perhaps, by a talking head on CNBC, which may not be the best course of action.

Their decision making process may be skewed by the circumstances. 🤔
