They said the same about Jerrod Evans. He would quickly abandon his reads and improvise. He complained that he was going to get hurt. It sounds like the scheme is to quickly get through the first receiver and the qb becomes a runner.

If true, the QB would have to run a lot more since he has only has one receiver to check off.

Some of it sounds like critics not being to tell when a pass play was designed as a timing throw or that a 1st yr qb was kept on a tight leash.
