peninsula surrounded by water, with only 1 road in or out. I run on that road. 220 houses in my hood.

I have seen some bizarre stuff, but only once was it not a neighbor. The weirdos that a ring camera would catch, that the homeowner would find likely scary when viewed are several folks who walk their dogs unleashed. I've seen them up near people's front doors looking around trying to find little sparky, or his pile of crap left somewhere in the yard. I've got 2 women who do that especially. Most of the time they don't pick up after the dog, but they do wander around on people's property. Seen a few of our male neighbors doing that too. I've had quite a few discussions with them as the loose dogs walk out in front of me as I run by in the dark. The women cuss me out as I tell them there's a leash law. But anyway, I'm sure security cameras of these nuts do scare folks.

The one time we had a thief issue, I came across a kid (teenager) on a skateboard in the street. He had his phone out. I just ran by him, but thought in odd at 4:30. Saw him again a few weeks later and this time I said something like, "good to see you up so early".

About a week later, a neighbor who owns a cross-fit gym and heads out very early to open up, comes flying around the corner in his truck and stops me as I'm running asking if I saw a kid on a skateboard as he caught him breaking into his car. Told him I had not seen him that day. He took off, mumbling he was gonna kill him if he catches him. I decided I should turn and run towards where he went to make sure he really didn't kill anyone. Just as I start, I see the kid with the skateboard come out of the bushes and goes riding off. I turn and follow him, yelling out he better get the f**k out, and the cops are on the way. He's riding back towards my house and where I was finishing my run, so I kept yelling out to him that we got a good look as I followed him. Finally he turns around, and almost crying screams, "just leave me alone". I had some more choice words for him, but he ran on out.
