Not sure Whit chose the date of the announcement.


from my understanding - Whit told Fu after Syracuse he was getting canned
Whit must've gave Fu the option to finish the season or step down at any time and they'd negotiate the buyout
and Fu chose Tuesday to step down...after a senior day win and before 2 tough road games - good time for Fu to bow out.

Regarding the job posting notice - one poster said that Buzz was hired the same week VT terminated JJohnson.
