Tend to disagree pretty wholeheartedly with that approach


This is absolutely not the game to funnel the ball to Mutts and Aluma, our entire advantage is predicated on their lottery pick freshmen not being disciplined or knowledgeable enough to handle our complexity. We're going to be carried by our outside shooting or we're going to lose, expect us to play deep into the shot clock most possessions.

The #1 thing we can't do is expect Aluma and Mutts to carry us against two guys who will be top 10 picks come April. What we need is Mutts to expend his energy shutting down Bates on defense and rebounding while Aluma has to avoid foul trouble. What you list as our strength is a greater strength for the opponent, might as well attack them where they're weaker.
