I think he was really good... and I think he's been the best player so far.


I don't think anyone's been better than him this season. I do think he can assert himself more offensively, but I think part of it is guys like Aluma find themselves wide open shooting threes last night and you're not going to pass those opportunities up... but VT didn't make them.

Maybe run more sets for Mutts, trying to get him the ball with an opportunity to take it to the rim or find the open guy. But I think more of the offense is run through Aluma. I think he could've been more physical, but I also think he was the most physical out of all VT players. I also think Memphis played good D on him.

I think a lot more would've opened up if Murphy didn't have so much pressure on him. As much as Tech tried to slow it down at times, it seems like the Hokies sped themselves up more often than not, thanks to Murphy. Ball often went to Aluma or one of the wings.

Getting Mutts more involved is huge.
