Does the new HC really need local ties to the area?

Isn't it all about surrounding yourself with people who fill those gaps? CFB wasn't a CEO, but he had great support around him to handle what he wasn't necessarily good at. To me that's the key for the new hire....solid coach who knows his limits and knows who to plug in.
