I've found that roughly forty percent of recruits don't contribute. Just look back at the 2017 TSL in-state rankings. Of the top five, only one is in the NFL and two are out of the game. There are a few big names like Becton and Newsome that were rated in the top twenty. I contend that recruiting can only be accurately ranked five years later. To me, recruiting rankings are just as worthless as preseason football rankings.
