Admittedly, the Engineer Force is weak within me. I’ll never
understand how things stop working and then implausibly allow me to get them going again.
A month ago our attic-housed upstairs zone furnace quit. I searched and found a video for our exact model and “it stopped heating”. The video showed how to turn the power and gas off to the furnace, open the front upper panel and remove a small rubber hose. It connects this one thing to another thing. You blow thru the hose, wipe off the terminals where it hooks things together and replace the hose. Put the panel back on, turn the gas back on and turn power back on. After a few seconds it kicks into life.
Furnace went out again last night. Just got it running again. I figured, since I fixed our dishwasher by changing the soap tablet that caused the furnace to quit again.
Beats the hell outta me.
