I'm sure the parent saw something was wrong. No idea why they left him...


...in possession of that firearm. Heck, they should have kept access to it very limited even if he was doing fine. Limited meaning locked in the safe, and only breaking it out when he was heading out for target shooting, then securing it in the safe after he had cleaned it.

It really is that simple. The kid wasn't the victim here. The parents weren't the victims. The kids who were shot were the victims! I'm tired of everyone trying to blame everyone but the evil person who committed the act. (This isn't being directed at you, but at our society at large.) Remember the guy who rammed the Christmas parade in WI? The news started reporting that as an accident, when it was clearly an overt act of terror. That's specifically what I'm talking about! I'm sure there will be news outlets saying the kid was a victim. He may or may not have been a victim before this act, but he became a murderer with his actions. He should be treated accordingly.
