Liz Kitley played against UT's center, Tamari Key, who is 6' 6" just like Liz. Tamari is not 6' 10". Both are the same height, but Liz has more basketball skills. Tamari's advantage is that she is more physical than Liz. In yesterday's game, Tamari and other UT players played very physical against Liz. The physical play of UT negated Liz's skills. The book is out on Liz, and other teams will be playing her physical if they have the players to do so. For the record, I am a big fan of the VT WBB team. I am also a big fan of Liz, who has wonderful skills with her height. I have complained about Liz's lack of physical ability, and in particular her upper body strength. That could be improved in the weight room. I have been waiting 3 years for her strength to improve, but so far, it is not noticable to me. With more strength, Liz would be unstoppable. If Liz hopes to be a star in the WNBA, she will need to improve her strength. The WMBA players will pound her and pound her if she doesn't get stronger.
