I can't blame them for giving it their best shot, though

For guys on the bubble of making a team or practice squad, they have to be at their absolute best for the combine and pro days and all that. They can't afford to be gimpy or to miss training time. They've worked their whole lives for this. Yeah, they might not make it, but I don't begrudge them making it their top priority right now.
