Don't remember if anyone was interested in hiring Bud


At that time. My way back machine is a little foggy on that one.

But the fact that Bud never was a head coach is his own fault. He had multiple opportunities to move on and didn't take that step to build his resume.

Florida and South Carolina under Spurrier tried to hire him as DC and he turned them down out of loyalty to Frank after literally having one foot out the door to leave.

Hell. If I remember correctly UGA and Florida State went after him at one time too and he turned them down as well.

All he had on that resume was all of those years at VT with Frank.
