Dooley at least stemmed the tide to the old north state. There are lots of recognizable names prior to Dooley and even Welsh up the road who lefy the state. Beamer further tightened the gate. Guys like Bruce Smith, Herman Moore, Shawn Moore, Jesse Penn, Cyrus Lawrence, etc., etc. would likely have left the state without the program building of Dooley and Welsh.
