Instead of bowls inviting teams, maybe teams should pick which bowl they want to play in. Maybe then they wouldn't back out at the last minute.

Or, maybe it should go back to the way it was "back in the day" when there were only a handful of bowl games, and being selected to one of them was something special and not something you'd dream of skipping out on. But, it won't, because it's all about money, and eventually the sport will help hammer the final nail into its own coffin.
