Got a drumset similar to this in 9th grade


I rode motor cross bikes and it drove my mother to the point of having a near nervous breakdown, as she is a big nerd.

My dad made a deal with me, after I sold my Suzuki 125. He said if I didn’t buy another one, he would get me a drumset for Christmas. I had a lucrative Washington Post paper route so I had the money for a near new Yamaha YZ 125.

So I got a Ludwig vistalite set in blue just like this one, though mine was a 7 piece and this looks like a 9 or 10 piece. Makes me want to play YYZ just looking at this photo 🤘🏼🔥

I still play to this day 40 years later.
