After the game,JC Price

said that VT only had 60 scholarship players at the game. VT also had about 8 starters(not just players)who opted out. Plus,a couple more did not play(Lofton,Kaleb Smith)due to late medical issues. VT ended up playing a lot of walk ons and true freshmen against an experienced MD team who has most,if not all,of their starters. That was a recipe for disaster...which happened.
