The game evolved from a non-profit event that fans and students enjoyed into a business.
institutions took the game into a business and grew it for more revenue, with revenue they got more advantage winning versus the game.... and that forced more try to up the other institutions.
then the idea get better coaches, how ?? out bid the coaches from other schools, so the other schools do the same thing.
otheres see their peers are doing better than others so they begin to demand higher pay and more facilities, institutions forced to rise more and more.
at the same time NFL takes a draft and monetizes it and with the increase in draft pick and players salaries, more players say I want that too, why should i be left behind.
at schools while administrations, new facilities are built with coaches with high salaries and houses, the students just get the scholarship money, and more and more of their time demanded for practice, and less and less on academics, and if a player plays one year and gets an opportunity for NFL contract its mininmum 150-200k. thats alot of money and anyone can go back to any school even online to finish up a degree.

This is the world we are in now, its led by the young folks now, the older folks are advisors and all they do is complain with no solutions, other than go back to the old days????

At the end its just football, its just sports....
