Because they are getting paid the most, and are grabbing the best teams...


...from other conferences (see OK and TX). They have so much money they can buy almost any coach from other conferences (see LSU's latest head coaching hire).

ESPN gives the SEC all of the positive press, while crapping on the ACC. You don't think that steers players away from the ACC and to SEC schools?

Some think ESPN has the ACC for basketball, but in recent years, SEC basketball has gotten at least equal, if not better coverage than the ACC.
